Commission Talk Time
So, here is my latest commission.
I wanted to include the first and the final pictures of the commission so that you guys could kind of get a feel for the process of buying a commission from the lovely @aelenko (sorry this took so darn long. I took a week-long hiatus from Tumblr basically, so thank you for your patience).
First of all, she only has you pay half upfront. When you do, you receive a few different sketches (depending on the art style you choose. I chose the lineart myself).
Then you proceed in either providing a description of the character(s) involved and/or references.
Then she continued by asking me a few characterization questions, which was unique from any other artist I’ve ever commissioned and I really loved that she did that because it helps to add their personality to the art.
Anyway, so she sent me I think three other sketches, and with every single one, made sure I was satisfied with the piece.
Here was the first sketch:
Anyway, so this piece costed $30 in the end, so before she began I paid 15 of it. The process was about a day per draft.
Finally, the final piece was sent and she had me pay the final 15.
She is a phenomenal artist who will make sure you are 100% satisfied with how she drew your characters and how she did their cothes, their stances, their expressions, before she sends the final product, which for me, was this beauty:
Thank you, Abby, for the awesome piece and I can’t wait for @writingonesdreams to receive their commission (once I’ve written the story and figured out what we’re doing).
Warrior commission process! This one I actually have a step by step. The client wanted a watercolor, I first started with a digital illustration. 🖌️ ✨
FYI
For anyone wondering what my commissions process is:
Send me references after your slot is secure and I will do a rough sketch for your approval.
Once the sketch is approved by you I will invoice you via paypal to complete it once paid.
When complete I will send you a link via dropbox to download your piece, please download it relatively soon as I often delete images to make room for more.
Thats it! :D
