Ask a straight person if they're gay and they'll probably be surprised you even suspected it. In fact, they'll probably be revolted that you had the slightest inkling, even if they claim to be a supporter of this group and that right and so on. These people are virtually no different from the devout religious nuts who take great pleasure in the belief that heaven will be free of, as they put it, "faggots".
If you look up "love" in the Dictionary you'll get: 1) a strong feeling of affection 2) a great interest or pleasure in something 3) a person or thing that one loves 4)(in relation to tennis and some other sports) a score of zero, nil.
Nowhere in those definitions does it specify a man, woman, or even a human. In theory anyone can love anything; a man, a woman, a dog, a cat, a toaster, etc.
Certain blinkered fuckwits will say "ooh but its a different kind of love! you can't compare love for another human to love for an animal or an object!" The fuck I can't.
The beauty of today's society is that someone, somewhere, is in the same position as you. There will be a group of people in the world who will gladly fight for your right to devote all your love and affection to anything you feel like, be it another human being, a pet, a car, a shoe, a piece of bread...
The vast majority of these people may be crazy but that, to me, means this whole thing makes more sense. Sharing your life with a man or a woman's surely a more sane thing to do than sharing it with your pet rock or your favourite comb. Love whoever or whatever you want. No doubt someone'll start a fuss but that someone isn't you. Religious types, homophobes, so-called "normal" people, they don't have a say anymore. The world is moving on.
I honestly could not give a flying fuck who I choose to spend my life with and, if you've read this far, neither should you. Love is one of the most general terms ever invented, and anyone who still thinks it can be narrowed down, even slightly, deserves a kick in the face.
