Making many people sick for mysterious reasons, Aiyana is one of the rare instances of gaining biotic abilities. - Her biotic nature is part of what saves her from the Batarian slaver attack on Mindoir; abilities presenting themselves in a moment of desperation, buying her enough time for Alliance soldiers to find her and rescue her. Her parents & most citizens of the colony aren't so lucky. - She's put into foster care for the year and a half it takes for her to become a legal adult, and upon coming of age she joins the Alliance Navy. Having developed a sort of hero worship of them following their rescue of her on Mindoir. - Her biotic abilities are finally officially honed and trained during training, she's an excellent soldier, becomes part of the N7 program - you know how it goes. - Successfully beats off the Batarian attack on Elysium and becomes an official hero. Her tragic history with the Batarians on Mindoir leading up to her heroics on Elysium makes for a great story, and she becomes something of a poster child for the Alliance following this. - You know the rest. Sent on a routine mission to Eden Prime and stumbles upon an ancient Prothean beacon foretelling the arrival of ancient constructs known as the Reapers. A tale as old as time. - Paragon, a perfect pillar of virtue and strength 1000% of the time and it's exhausting.
