DC's Comicmobile
In the summer of 1973, before most comic shops existed, DC's Sol Harrison rented a van, painted "HERE COMES THE COMICSMAN" and slapped DC stickers on the side, and sent staffers Michael Uslan and Bob Rozakis (that's Bob as T-shirted Superman in the top photo, arm-wrestling his future wife Laurie Rozakis' Wonder Woman; photo by Laurie's dad W. J. Neu) to drive it around NJ and Long Island, respectively, ringing a bell out the window to attract kids to whom they sold comics out of the van. Sales were poor and the van was exiled to Arizona for further "testing," eventually getting demolished in a collision with a semi.
