Wrestling. The oldest, toughest sport on the planet. No other sport tests the true grit of a man or woman the way combat sports do. The World Wrestling Championships are in full swing. Best wrestlers on the planet going at it. @kyledake444 has yet to even be scored on. Read that again. Zero points. Zero. The guy is a complete animal. This is one of those pivotal moments in Strength & Conditioning and I hope everyone in the industry has, at least, one eye open. This is a chance to look at some really cool data. Dake is a @functionalpatterns guy. If you're familiar, you know that means he doesn't spend a lot of time training bilateral movement patterns. You also know that means he spends a shit load of time on gait and rotational patterns. Coincidentally, he moves insanely well in comparison to everyone around him. Years back, I was critical of @themyoengineer. Not because of his methodologies. You can't really argue any of that. It was the bold presentation of it all. But then I decided to stop missing the forest for the trees. I started listening deeper. Plenty of science and an overwhelming amount of logic is what he presents. And now, he has even more data to go with his work. Important data. On a huge stage, no less.
