Vincent is actually very fond of soft physical displays of affection, especially after The Loft Incident. His mind has equated affectionate contact to sexual desire for the longest time, so it feels special to him when you just squeeze his hand or touch his shoulder or give him a hug.

Vincent felt a small smile grow on his face as he spotted you. No, he didn't know you, and he was more than aware he’d likely developed a reputation, but a little small talk couldn’t hurt anyone.

“I don’t believe we’ve met,” he strode up to you, two drinks in hand, and he placed one on the small high table in front of you. “You must work with one of our buyers.”

“I don’t need to have met you to know you,” you chuckled. “Your deeds have certainly gotten ahead of you, and not just the architectural ones, Mr. Stevens.”

He smiled tightly. Yeah, he really should have seen this coming.

“It doesn’t seem to be stopping your people from making the purchase, though,” he pointed out. “Again, under the assumption that you’re here for one of the buyers. But I suppose I know better than anyone what they say about assuming.”

“Yes, you certainly do,” you said. “I’m actually the direct representative of the buyer of your New York property.”

This struck Vincent.

“...The New York building?” he asked, slightly incredulous. He looked closer at your face. “Never thought one of you National City-types would want to come up here. I understand wherever people at CatCo go, disaster usually follows.”

“That may be so,” you said icily, “but at least we don’t create infidelity dens because it sounds fun.”

Vincent felt his throat get tight with embarrassment.

“Why my building, anyway? Luthor looking for some kind of expansion?”

“More or less. Miss Luthor bought the building because I asked her to,” you smiled. “There’s some work I’d like to do up here. Investigations and such. I figured a fully new office building would open up quite a few jobs here.”

“But why mine?”

“Because,” you looked him in the eyes, and it seemed like you could see into his very soul. You gripped his arm, and your grasp was much stronger than he expected. “You built something very important into your loft. And I need it back.”

This is obviously just going to be the boys who don’t normally show their softer side in canon, so we won’t see Bones, Cooper, Gavin, or Skurge here. Sorry!

–Vaako is…touchy. Like, yes, he’s a dark gothic sex bomb, so duh, but he’s not as rough as some might expect. He’s not vocal about it, but he loves to cuddle you or hold your hand, or even be held. There’s a little bit of softness in him that not even purification could kill.

–Vampup is an absolute puppy, but he tends to keep it hidden if there’s business to get done. When the two of you are alone, though, he’s all snuggles and sweet pet names and kisses and such. High-level Soft Boi.

–Reaper shows his softer side by being protective. He’ll hold your hand, keep an arm around you, look out for you. You’ll need to tell him if it gets too much, though, because he’d never want you to feel overcrowded or incompetent.

–When Kennex wants to be soft with you, he’ll open up about everything. And I mean everything…his family, his past relationships, his recovery…he likes having someone to listen, and that makes him feel secure.

–Vincent’s softness is his puppy love. After getting proper counseling, he’s very lovey once he finds the right person. Heart eyes, compliments, nice gifts, big ol dumb smiles…everything casanova just melts away.

–Dredd shows his softness to you by prioritizing you, especially your safety. No one may be allowed to know about the two of you, but you can be damn certain that every time you’re in a spot of Mega-City One trouble, he’ll be right there to save the day.

Soft!Vincent Stevens Would Involve…

So like…this guy obviously has all the potential of a Real Swell Romantic Gentleman. He’s just been too busy sticking his dick in any hole that stood still long enough to really develop it.

But, after getting some counseling for sex addiction and trauma therapy, he’s a lot more equipped to enter a functional and stable monogamous relationship.

And, when he finally finds the right person once he’s got all his shit ironed out, he’s really a bit of a puppy, because sure, he was married, but he’s never been in love before.

So when he does fall in love…it’s fucking adorable. Heart eyes, big smile, the whole nine yards.

He’s got a real affectionate side, it turns out. He remembers things like your favorite music, colors you like, your favorite snacks, etc. He’s surprisingly thoughtful.

Vincent works extra hard to win you over and not be sleazy about it. He knows you watch the news, he knows you know he’s “The Loft Guy,” and he wants to prove to you that he’s gotten better and that part of his life is behind him.

He wants to be the one to initiate your first kiss, badly, but he’s patient and lets you set the pace. He’s surprised at how much he enjoys the slow, even chaste kiss when it does happen.

When you invite him over to watch a movie and it doesn’t end with the two of you getting busy on your sofa, that’s when he starts to feel like he’s really found something special.
