Interesting question! From a Doylist perspective, we wouldn't have had the last 2 seasons of the show if she hadn't been resurrected (which would have been fine with a lot of people, I'm sure). I know they ended season 5 the way they did because it was possible that was the end of the whole series, but as much as I disliked season 7 as a whole, I kind of liked the idea of the Slayer in general and Buffy in particular getting to live instead of following the "tradition" and dying to save the world. Again.
From a Watsonian perspective, it never sat right with me that the Scoobies thought Buffy was in (a) hell after dying to save the world, and it would have made more sense that they'd go looking for the new Slayer they thought would be called (since they didn't realize, and never did figure out even in season 7, that the Slayer line now went through Faith because Buffy had already died). But also, they'd made being the Scoobies like 99% of their personalities, and what's the Scoobies without the Slayer? It's totally possible to read it as they're all in serious denial about what they're doing because they just want her back so badly, which is why they didn't tell Giles or Dawn or Spike what the plan was.
So--it would have been kinder all around to leave Buffy in heaven, but neither the show nor the characters as developed could really leave her there.
V1 Chapter 3 Art for "Lady of the Lake by Colubrina"
Gotta more-Hermione-ify it, change her hairstyle, clean up her hand, clean up the background, and change up her bracelet. Almost there!
I got some really good gens outta this one! Spoiled for choice! I ended up amalgamating 5 images into this one (the lamppost, the street and sky, Draco/Hermione upper bodies, Hermione face, Hermione Hair).
Here's ones that are good, but didn't make the cut:
Art Generation Info Below!
Prompt: an off-center closeup shot of Draco Malfoy and [Hermione Granger:Emma Watson:0.5] gazing lovingly at each other while standing in a spotlight under a tall streetlight in [Diagon Alley] [next to a fountain with a statue in it] and a bookshop in the background , 25-year-old, romantic, on a date, at twilight, holding each other, a romantic embrace, true love, coy, first date, (sleeveless sleek cowlneck black wrap dress), (a reporter surreptitiously in the background smoking a cigarette and holding an antique flash camera), victorian, gazing deeply into each other's eyes, tentative hopefulness, lips slightly parted, wistful, dynamic asymmetry, background dynamic asymmetry, people mingling in the background
Neg: nuns, monks, bare feet, comic book panel, manga panel, comic panel, tux, tuxedo, nsfw, nude, shiny skin, wings, forum post, character sheet, cartoon, pop art, cropped, out-of-frame,
And then I used XYZ plot for samplers, Styles, and Search-Replace first-keyword perspective orientation (closeup, wide angle shot, forced perpective, low angle shot)
The lighting was done in Sketchbook Pro, by making a gradient of a spotlight, erasing some light lines and softening the edges, then layering that with the "Glow", "Soft Glow", and "Color Burn" blending modes (to create glowing highlights and shafts of light within the existing image), and whole-image layers in Multiply (to darken darks), and Grayscale (to control saturation)
Probably about 500 or so gens, in about 8 gen runs, and 3 gen runs in img2img, and about..25 layers in Sketchbook Pro
tell me about "getting drunk on your noble deeds"!!!
A half-vampire college student succumbing to his inheritance has to prove that he’s not the killer all while pining helplessly for his roommate. Urban fantasy novella! Body horror resurrection! References to WB/CW shows!
I need to inflict my vampire propaganda somehow, guys!
This is a novella that I haven’t worked much on lately except for a one-shot and some silly, silly scenes to get their voices right.

let your followers get to know you!! list the top 5 books you've read this year and then send this ask to other blogs you like
Oooh, I love this ask (and thank you to @arleney for also asking me!!)
I'm going to put these in the order I read them rather than a ranked order because it was already hard enough to pick 5 :)
1. Hell Is A World Without You by Jason Kirk: people overuse the phrase "this book should be required reading for everyone" but like. This one SHOULD be! It's an absolutely wonderful novel that explains more about growing up in Evangelical Christianity - and becoming disillusioned with it - than any lecture or thinkpiece could hope to do. I laughed, I cried, and I learned some stuff!
2. Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin: this book rewired something in my brain. I know I said I'm not ranking the books within the list but this one might be my favorite. I read it in March and I'm still thinking about it. It's just compelling!!
3. The Sunshine Court by Nora Sakavic: these traumatized boys and their stickball have an unbreakable hold on me. And, somehow, this unexpected sequel CANONIZED an unbelievable number of headcanons I'd made. I felt like a god. A very happy god!!
4. The Pairing by Casey McQuiston: this book was so delightfully fun, and it pulled at my heartstrings in just the right way. Favorite CMQ book since Red, White, and Royal Blue (which is saying something, because I've enjoyed their others!). A+ 10/10 would read again.
5. Twelfth Knight by Alexene Farol Follmuth: I desperately needed this book as a teenager. Getting it as a 30-something was the next best thing. It's YA, but I almost suggested it for my women's book club at work. I still might! SO MANY women and girls need this book. 💜

This is an amazing fic. I loved devouring it. Available on AO3. It is a HEA (in a way) there is Major Character Death. But wow, just wow. This fic will live rent free in my head. 10/10
