Hello to all! As you’re probably well aware, this blog is about 99.99999999% reblogs, or in other words, I never, hardly ever, make my own posts. Not to say that’s bad or anything, but one of my resolutions for this year would be to start making more posts and really take hold (?) of this blog.

I’ve said this before, but I’m still in high school. I’m a senior that’s about to graduate, and next year I’ll be attending Colorado State University to major in Zoology, and (as of now) minor in Wildlife Biology. With this in mind, understand that my knowledge of the biological world is limited. Much more in depth than your average teen, yes, but to say I could answer any given question about anything relating to biology would be a lie.

SO, the point I’m trying to get to, is that I’m going to try and become more active in the realm of my own *posts. At the same time, with my limited knowledge of things, please bear with my inability to answer more complicated bio questions or things you may have for me. I will do my best to bring good, factual information to this blog, and if someone finds anything to be false, please notify me and I’ll be quick to edit.

The quote essentially means that rational thought should be the basis of your understanding of the world. If you think rationally, examining evidence and accepting or rejecting hypotheses based on it, you are most likely to come to a sensible conclusion. The quote could be used to basically say 'no rational person can conclude that there is a deity', but the significance is really on being open to rationalism. If you examine the available evidence, and do not wilfully pursue irrational lines of thought, and still come to the conclusion that there is a deity, then your method cannot be faulted (although your information may be incomplete).
