Finding an idol of basudeb carrying his little kiddo to exile is one of the most defining moments of my stroll through Kumortuli. This picture is special because of the memory it triggers. As a kid, 2 stories of have always fascinated meet. That of Jesus Christ being born at that Stable in Jerusalem at midnight and that of this little lord Krishna born in a prison and then crossing a tumultuous sea to reach his exile. Kids, adolescents, adults as they were. They behave in a similar way and follow the same strategy. These brought memories of reading those 2 stories at midnight and the television depiction of it.
