Josef Albersās Interaction of Color is a fun exercise with colors.
Albersā experimental way of studying and teaching color was groundbreaking for artists. Albers thought that the scientific system of color had little practical value for artists. He initially developed his color course while he was teaching at the Black Mountain College before fully developing it at Yale University with the publication of Interaction of Color in 1963. In the course, students learned to see how color behaved differently in varying combinations.
āMoving from simple to complex, with many exercises exploring the ramifications of a previous one, the course awakened the students to the quirks and variables of color behavior.
