Laboratories were dangerous places and Jim knew better than to involve himself with any of their business. One wrong move and some hellish cross of bacteria could be unleashed onto any of his assets. But, the world was a cruel place, and even without his involvement, a private scientist had gained the means to send a plague through the human race.

Word of England's impending doom by virus reached Jim's ears through the many strands of his web, and what he heard had him tensing.

             They would be starting with the Royal Army.

Now, Jim didn't consider himself a sentimental man, and he'd abandoned his family ages ago. But he knew his elder brother was a proud officer in the military, and no one would be expecting this. The eldest Moriarty would suffer along with the rest of the ordinary men if he did nothing.

He simply couldn't allow it.

In a hurry, he grabbed his coat and his Beretta, hopping into his car and driving to the base he knew James was stationed at. No one stopped him, his identification got him into nearly anywhere. Swift, purposeful steps took him to his brother's quarters and no one even bid him good day.
