In Crooked Kingdom, it mentions that Jesper had grown up speaking Zemeni and Kerch, but his father's Kelish was reserved for his singing. Do you guys think this is because in The Wandering Isle slaughtering Grisha for medical purposes was normal, and Colm wanted absolutely no part of that culture in their household, because of Aditi? Because other than that, I don't remember Jesper having any distinguished culture roots. The only part where it's mentioned he's Kelish at all is because of his gray eyes.

since in ck’s kings & queens part matthias rarely does anything or is barely even there at all, i like to imagine him just chilling in colm’s hotel room with colm. he reads, makes tea, worries about the others, and then colm keeps him busy by telling him all kinds of farming facts, and weirdly they bond over that because of course matthias’s mother used to farm in the summer, even if it was only whatever they could grow in frost hardened soil.
