I used some of my nail polish art as the basis for this collage. Ā In digital form, it looks like swirly paint. Ā Also discovered a new trick in PaintShop where you can turn selections into irregular polygons. Ā Iām quite happy with this result, and I may try to do similar things with paper. Ā All I have to do is color print the images, which I can do at the library. Ā Also, Soviet art makes for cool collage material, especially the science stuff.
Iām doing the nail polish art on images from a couple of b & w interior design catalogs my mother gave me, so the colored polish is on a black background.

To assist you in erasing the background of letters - especially newspaper headlines - so that you can use them in collage, use the color changer to change the white background to a different color. Ā Then erase the color.
Once youāve cropped the letters, you can color / texture / pattern those, too.
This is an example of paper marbled with nail polish. Ā IĀ āpaintedā it in Paint Shop Pro, I could either have this printed as is, or cut it up to use in collages. Ā Has a great thick paint effect.
Jewelry templates: Ā there are a ton of these online, but you donāt have to pay six or seven bucks for them - you can print them out and use them with carbon paper or make your own templates out of cardboard. Ā Just do a search for jewelry templates - there are whole sites that sell them.
