For week 5, Stan and I decided to continue our collaborations that have happened for the past two weeks. We showed up to SITE at 7:00 on a dark, cold, rainy evening. We knew that we desire sound-making materials, but we were unsure what to use. This is when I discovered two plastic covers to plumbing fixtures in the corner of the park. Their name escapes me, but they are rectangular with rounded corners and about a foot long. We proceeded to kick and throw these down the street parallel to the park. When we got to a dead end, Stan noticed a traffic cone that had been in front of a house since our class began. He picked it up and began to make sound with it as well. We kicked, threw and banged on these elements all the way to a dumpster in front of an apartment complex. This is where our performance ended. Stan said it best – we were like two punk kids.
