#cold day

normal day outfit

from 6/11/2025. switched out midday because it was too warm

It is very cloudy day here but I captured a little sunrise color today. My brother is still here so I don’t know what is on the agenda today. He hasn’t been around here for a bunch of years since moving up north so maybe we’ll cruise around and look at stuff. 😃

We might be bumming around but we won’t be walking around, it’s only 16F degrees (-8C) outside 🥶

This is a very cold morning but I am glad that the 60mph winds quit. Today starts out at 14F degrees (-10C) and as you can see in the morning pic, we got a little bit of sun coming too. 🌞

Due to all the storm damage and power outages in northern Michigan, I have a house guest for a couple days. My brother @woedig is staying here. 👍

We need to run a couple mornings errands and I am not looking forward to that cold bite on my face. 😬

My excitement for today, it’s garbage day 😃

I got up early (for me) and got the recycling out by 7:15 am. I figured I beat the truck by 15-30 minutes from when he usually gets here.

After I got back in the house, I noticed the neighbors lid was flipped open like in the pic above. I thought- how in the hell did I miss the truck? The lids flip open after the bin is grabbed or unless you live in a high wind area like me. Got lucky, it was the wind. The truck was an hour later than usual.

Another grey Michigan day. We got more snow coming here but it’s not supposed to start until tomorrow evening. I hope it goes through quickly. ❄️ ❄️

Now I have to go back outside and get the container before it blows in the road. It’s only 19F degrees (-7C) outside 🥶 and I have to put on my heavy coat.

On the way back home from getting takeout, I stopped by the river to see if anybody was ice fishing.

Holy cow there was a ton of people there. The lot was full of cars and the river was full of shanties.
