Greetings, sixth of make. This sentinel has three gifts for you for Clover's Day. Two for you directly, and one for the root child hosted within your shell.
The first gift is an intricate metal pin in the shape of a chrysanthemum. This flower commonly represents new beginnings and renewal. This sentinel felt it best represented you, as you had recently returned from Bilewater and repaired yourself of whatever damage you sustained.
[The pin itself was made of gold and bronze wire and plating. There were many, many little metal plates that made up the many petals of the bloom. Hidden beneath and in-between every petal was metal wiring that held them all together. The pin was about the size of the Sixth Sentinel's palm, and one could tell it was handcrafted.]
The second gift is more practical. If this sentinel is not incorrect, you prefer items that tend to have a use, yes? It is aware your preferred weapon is a spear, so it procured a repair and maintenance kit for it. Maintaining one's weapon is important, and this sentinel knows this will be of use to you, sibling.
For the root child, this sentinel still had fabric and silk even after crafting a blanket for second of make and a mossgrub plush for fourth of make. When it traveled to the Memorium to craft the mossgrub for fourth of make, it also crafted a plush of a young mawling. This sentinel is unsure if the root child can make use of this yet, as this sentinel knows very little of Twisted Buds, but the plush will be there when the child can hold it.
[The plush itself was soft to the touch and very easy to squish. It was small, a perfect size for the young Twisted Bud.]
This sentinel hopes both you and the root child appreciate these, sibling.
"Subject Identified. Designation: First-of-Make," The Sixth Sentinel greeted, shortening the greeting for the purposes of this interaction. That was within thons programming, thon just normally preferred to say the full greeting.
The Sixth Sentinel took the pin, looking at it carefully. The Sixth Sentinel's Advanced Reasoning Processors analyzed it, and more specifically, the symbolism behind it. Thon... didn't quite understand it. Was their return from Bilewater a new beginning? A renewal? Thon didn't think of it as such.
"Correction: This Sentinel is still missing seventy-five percent of its locomotive systems, due to the Radix gulosus specimen blocking the areas where those systems would go. It has not been fully repaired and will not be until the specimen is implanted into a new host, and this Sentinel can be carried to the Twelfth Architect. Or the Thirteenth, possibly. Any Architect should suffice; it matters little which," The Sixth Sentinel stated. "However, this Sentinel appreciates the pin nonetheless."
Thon stared at the pin for a moment. Some... memory, tickled at the back of thons mind. But thon chose not to poke at it. It'd likely be a memory error.
"... It is unsure of what to do with this pin," The Sixth Sentinel eventually admitted. "But the repair kit for its spears is welcome. One of its spears sustained superficial damage during its hunting of flintbeetles and skull brutes in the Marrow."
The Sixth Sentinel continued. "The specimen is not yet able to make use of this plush. It might be after it reaches its next stage of growth, but this Sentinel is unaware of whether juvenile Radix gulosus specimens appreciate such things. Especially given that it may increase in size at that point, and the plush may be too small. We shall see. Thank you, nonetheless."
