Testing out the new #fireboxstove and #coffeyspit Cooked up some Chorizo and Italian Sausage. Made a cup of coffee and boiled my water in 4:30. That's nice and quick. It lights easily, stays lit, burns efficiently. It's a joy to use. But it weighs close to 3 pounds. I like it enough to keep it anyway and I liked using the Coffey Spit most of all. It's an excellent back woods rotisserie system. I just wish it had slightly longer ends. It fits one 7 inch sausage perfectly (lol) 😉 Leaving just a little bit of extra roasting rod to work with on each end would be perfect for me. Then it wouldn't be quite so hot to handle with rags or pliers. I give both a 4 out of 5 over all. I know I'll get a ton of use out of them both. They're heavy gauge metal and very well made. No warping after the first burn. So far I'm a happy camper. The only other thing that I didn't like about the experience was the 25.00cdn duty I had to pay at the post office. I already felt what I was spending quite a bit for a folding stove and a roasting stick, but they both look and are well made so I decided to take a chance. $225.00cdn shipped for the stove, 2 extra fire sticks, the regular and extended grill plates, the black cordura case and the Coffey Spit.
