What could be more #RhodeIsland than #CoffeeMilk? Picked up some @davescoffee syrup for home #igersnewengland #beverages #beverageporn (at Phantom Farms)
Adding homemade coffee syrup to your coffee milk makes it sweet and tasty. An old Rhode Island treat that makes your morning coffee taste different.
Ingredients: 2 cups of brewed coffee. 2 cups of granulated sugar.
Instructions: Make a strong cup of coffee the way you like it. Put the granulated sugar and brewed coffee in a saucepan. Stir the mixture all the time while heating it over medium-low heat until the sugar is completely dissolved and the mixture gets a little thicker. It should only take ten to fifteen minutes. Take the coffee syrup off the heat and let it cool to room temperature. Put the coffee syrup in a clean bottle or other container and put it in the fridge. Add one to two tablespoons of coffee syrup to a glass of milk and stir it well. This makes coffee milk.
