#coe does uni

Today's not so great actually horrible please by the love of God and wrath of Hell bit, on the other hand, is that my supervisor has yet to mail me the signed "submit title thesis for approval" form and the deadline is on the 13th and Im getting anxious and I HATE when professors pull this shit.

So. 

First I find my thesis prof in SEPTEMBER 2918, we meet up in February and it’s all “sure, come to course and do your exams in the summer session while I look for material, we’ll start working in July/August”, THEN 2 - fucking - weeks - ago he basically ditches me bc I couldn’t immediately read a 1668 manuscript I was seeing for the first time and tells me to try go for Psychology, but to come back in case things go south. Sure.

I do that, and the Psyc prof tells me “sorry, I’m leaving in September, can’t take you in”, effectively sending things to shit, not south.     

I go back to first one quietly pissed but with my tail between my legs to say “please, I need to graduate in February, we’re running out of time, take me back” and yesterday evening HE DITCHES ME AGAIN by “keep searching for someone else before coming back” and my brain short-circuit for a couple hours while I stare in the void bc but i didn’t fuck up in these years i’m on schedule i’m working I didn’t lie why does this happens now who the hell do I ask now??  

Then calm down and think to ask the Contemporary history prof, I liked him, his course, and I have a 28/30 in his subject under my belt to show him I take the subject seriously and I’m interested; but am also considering writing to the others Psy profs to see if something can be done, keep the subject, change the prof supervising and signing the work (it happened before to a friend of mine).

Today, I sent the first mail to Cont His prof (explaining WHY I was asking in July, bc fuck it, this wasn’t on me and I refuse to make it fall on me) and maybe I’m finally seeing the light? He answered 15 min after I sent my mail and gave me an appointment on the 10th.
