5. Mi a legkedvesebb gyerekkori emléked?/What is your most beloved childhood memory? Öt éves lehettem, amikor Illés bátyámmal Veszprémben a magas fűben ugráltunk egy domboldalon a szélviharban. Tavasz volt, széldzsekiben voltunk és azt hittük, hogy tudunk repülni… kicsit tudtunk is.

I was around five when with my brother Illés we were jumping around in the high grass on a hillside during a windstorm in Veszprém. It was Spring, we were wearing coats and thought that we could fly… and we could for a while.

6. Mit érzel, amikor egy másik művész a tiédhez hasonló munkát készít?/What do you feel when another artist does something similar to your work? Sajnálom, mert tudom, hogy min megy keresztül. Ezeket a tárgyakat nem könnyű megcsinálni.

I feel sorry because I know what they are going through. Creating these objects is not a easy task.

7. Mit szeretnél, hogy miről emlékezzenek majd rád?/What do you want people to remember you by? Szerettem az anyagokat. Kerestem a szépet. Őszintén alkottam.

That I loved materials. I searched for beauty. I created honestly.

8. Gyűjtesz valamit?/Do you collect anythig? Gépeket, eszközöket.

9. Kedvenc budapesti pillanat?/Favourite Budapest moment? Este 10 körül nyári séta Budáról Pestre a Szabadság hídon.

10. Van olyan gyerekes szokásod, amit akkor csinálsz, amikor senki nem figyel?/Do you have any childish habits that you do when no one is watching? ShellShock Live-ban LVL 40 vagyok 2 éve, kodisailor néven :) De van, hogy Guest-ként loggolok… így viccesebb :)

I’ve been on level 40 for 2 years in ShellShock Live under the name kodisailor. :) Though sometimes I log in as a guest. Makes it more fun. :)

11. Mi volt a legnagyobb őrültség, amit eddig csináltál?/What is the craziest thing you’ve ever done? Leugrottam egy kavicsbányába. Farmer dzsekiben. Azt hittem, megvéd.

I jumped into a gravel pit. Wearing a denim jacket. I thought it will protect me.

12. Van-e napi rutinod?/Do you have a daily routine? Reggel kávé. Este kávé. A két kávé között bármi megtörténhet.

Coffee in the morning. Coffe in the evening. Between the two cups of coffee anything can happen.

13. Kedvenc tárgyad?/Favourite object? Nincs.

There isn’t any.

14. Hogyan fogsz neki egy új munkának?/How do you start a new project? Jön egy ötlet, amit bármi inspirálhat, amit látok, gyorsan lerajzolom és nevet adok neki. A keletkezett rajz bekerül a körülbelül 120 db-os mappába. A név alapján később minden élmény eszembe jut, ami kiváltotta a terv létrejöttét. Innentől már csak szakma a megvalósítás: csomópontok, anyagok, vázlatok, 2D, modell, proto, null széria, 1. széria.

An idea comes, inspired by anything I see, and I quickly draw it down and name it. The drawing then goes to a folder of 120. Later just seeing its name will awoke every experience that made me draw it. From this point its only work to create it: junctions, materials, sketches, a 2D model, prototype, zero series, first series.

15. Van egy jól körülhatárolható hangulat, amikor könnyebb számodra az alkotás?/Is there a specific mood when it is easier for you to create? Csend.

Silence.

16. Sör vagy bor?/Beer or wine? Sör. A bor túl erős.

Beer. Wine is too strong.

17. Kutya vagy macska?/Dogs or cats? Kutya. Mert kölcsönös a függés.

Dogs. Dependence is mutual.

18. Mit szeretnél kifejezni az alkotásaidon keresztül?/What do you want to express through your work? A szépséget. Ahogy én látom.

19. Milyen a stílusod?/How would describe your style? Egyszerű.

Simple.

20. Mi az, ami a leginkább feltölt?/What gives you the most energy? A Balaton-felvidéki táj.

21. Kedvenc város?/Favourite city? Grado. Mert ott láttam először a tengert.

Grado. Because that is where I first saw the sea.

22. Hol leszel 10 év múlva?/Where will you be in ten years’ time? Egy dél-franciaországi faluban, Hyeres környékén.

23. Kedvenc étel?/Favourite food? Grillezett tenger gyümölcsei, sajttorta. Finomak.

24. Kedvenc évszak?/Favourite season? Nyár, mert ilyenkor virágzik a hársfa és az ősz, mert olyankor virágoznak a gondolatok.

25. Mi a legrosszabb tulajdonságod?/What is your worst trait? Van, hogy a politikán gondolkozom.

Sometimes I ponder about politics.

26. Melyik korban élnél szívesen?/In which era would you want to live in? 18-19.századforduló. Mert az anyaggal és az élettel kapcsolatban hasonlóan gondolkoztak. Nem a piac volt a cél, hanem az emberek. A nők csinosak, a férfiak elegánsak, a gépek megbízhatóak, a házak szépek, az értékek pedig állandóak voltak.

During the turn of the 18-19. century. Because people thought similarly about material and life. The purpose was not the market but the people. Women were pretty, men were elegant, the machines were reliable, the houses were nice and the values were constant.

27. Van visszatérő álmod? Miről szól? Esetleg megjelenítetted már valamelyik alkotásodban?/Do you have any recurring dreams? Have you ever incorporated them into your work? Az, hogy megnövesztem Nils Holgersont. A Nilson kollekció innen kapta nevét ( emlékszel? az udvaron ludak, kerítés, talicska, kukoricatároló…).

That I enlarge Nils Holgerson. The Nilson collection got its name from this. (Do you remember? Geese in the yard, fence, wheelbarrow…)

28. Mi az az alkotás, amit mindenképpen meg kell csinálnod, mielőtt meghalsz?/What is the one thing you absolutely have to create before you die? Engem, mint művészt lenyűgöznek a működő dolgok, az üzemek. Szeretnék létrehozni egy szépen működő kis-közepes üzemet, ami tökéletesen teszi a dolgát és napi szinten valósulnak meg az ötletek, prototípusok. Az alkalmazottak boldogok, az ügyfelek elégedettek, a tudásomat átadtam következő generációnak.

I, as az artist, am fascinated by working things, factories. I would like to establish a nicely working small or medium plant which does its job perfectly and where ideas and prototypes are born every day. The employees are happy, the clients are satisfied, and I have managed to give my knowledge to the next generation.

29. Ha egyetlen tanácsot kellene adni más, esetleg még kezdő tehetségeknek, mi lenne az?/If you had to give a single advice to talented beginners what would it be? Ne nézzenek oldalra, se vissza… csak előre.

“1981-ben születtem Keszthelyen. Szüleim képzőművészek, nagyszüleim festők, tanárok és tudósok. 11-en vagyunk testvérek. Gyerekkoromban sokat jártunk Göcsejre, a Festetics kastélyba, a Georgikon múzeumba és a környező erdőkbe. Aktívan tanultam 6 éves koromtól rajzolni, szénnel, illetve agyaggal mintázni többnyire családi címereket és kisplasztikákat. Sok iparosnál dolgoztam az iskola mellett, így volt alkalmam megtanulni számos anyag megmunkálását. Gimnáziumi tanulmányaimat követően hajóépítést tanultam egy rövid ideig, illetve mellette egyre többet szobrászkodtam. 2002 környékén Budapestre költöztem, az egyetemi felvételihez szükséges rajzos felkészülés céljából. 2003-tól 2009-ig Sopronban az Alkalmazott Művészeti Intézetben tanultam. Az egyetemet követően saját stúdiót hoztam létre, mely többnyire megbízásokat fogadott. Ebben az időszakban már tudatosan készültem a saját termékek gyártásának beindítására, illetve beszereztük a szükséges eszközállományt. Első bemutatkozásom 2012-ben volt Londonban a Tent London kiállításon. Azóta számos más helyszínen (Berlin, Barcelona, Budapest, London)  mutattam be az új termékeinket.”

“I was born in 1989 in Keszthely. My parents are artists, my grandparents are painters, teachers and scientists. I have ten siblings. When I was a child we used to visit Göcsej, the Festetics castle, the Georgikon museum and the surrounding forests. I’ve been actively studying drawing with charcoal since I was six, as well as shaping mostly family crests and figurines using clay. I worked along many artisans during my school years and thus had the opportunity to learn how to work with several materials. After high school I studied ship building for a while and did more and more sculpting. Around 2002 I moved to Budapest to prepare for university. Between 2003 and 2009 I studied in Sopron at the Institute of Applied Arts. After university I established my own studio which worked mainly for commissions. During this time I was consciously preparing to the launch of my own products by purchasing the necessary tools. My first introduction was in 2012 at the Tent London exhibition in London. Since then I have showed our new products in several other places (Berlin, Barcelona, Budapest, London).”
