“If You Can't Measure It, You Can't Manage It” - by Someone
Finally my RESCUE Time software started to work, so there are a few numbers how I spent my time in my laptop. I recommend this software to anyone whose job is connected with a computer.
If you are not a coder and are wondering what is Sublime Text 2 and Terminal - that’s how it looks like in action:
The three columns are files where we are writing our app (yes, now, we can call it app - before, it was just codes.. cool, right?)... The small square in front of everything is a terminal, where we are running our codes. This app is something like TODO list connected to a database - we can add tasks, see them, delete & update them. This was our first assessment ever actually from today. We’ve done it!
Luckily it is not anything like in a university, where you’re getting marks - this is mainly for mentors to check our ability to build anything alone without any help. For those who did not go through it well, they can focus & help them more if it is not too late already. The next following days we will put all the knowledge together and start building front-end website app (the interface:)).
Regarding the time I spent - I remember the busiest day in UBER - I had 63.9 hours of driving - clear time and on the computer I spent about just 4 hours that week - this is exactly the opposite, but I don’t feel so effective as I could be. Well, I have the data so I can improve it a bit.
Time of blogging was 1 hour 9 mins.
