#code lyoko monsters

ok so one of your prompts was about the XANA monsters doing something "normal" in the real world and I just immediately got the image of that subway rat in new york hauling a whole piece of pizza down a flight of stairs, which is extremely specific. however i cannot help but see kankrelats as some kind of mix between an ant and a rat. ants if they were big enough to cause rat problems, if you will.

anyway i sure hope no one was planning on enjoying a nice pizza today because Mango and a friend are making off with it.

Currently revamping an old Code Lyoko Monster I made years ago, what I called the Thunderbird. It's more of a Dragon really. I described it as being "powerful and swift. It uses the tips of it's wings to slice through opponents and other objects. It also can use it's claws, jaws, and tail for combat and release a lightning bolt from it's mouth. It was mostly created to be ridden, and for picking up things with it's back legs." I've altered a few things, mainly the end tips of the wings are no longer blood stained looking, and the crown and tail are light blue instead of dark steel grey. It's also no longer has whatever was supposed to be on the chest and tail as seen in an old illustration I found (seen below). Imagining it that my character FET can impose her own symbol on it to put it under her control morso, but not sure. Still ironing out some details. Also, the monsters are different in different sectors, cosmetically and, to a degree, in terms of abilities. So, using Blocks as our example again

Ice Blocks have the standard freeze ray/fire ring abilities, for creating or melting ice. Their outer shells are made from ice and actually translucent

Mountain Blocks... I'm thinking more chemical-based abilities, something like cement and acid? And their outer shells are made from stone, and tend to be a few large pieces corresponding to their internal exoskeleton's structure

Desert Blocks are fairly similar to Mountain Blocks, but their shells are made of lots of small fragments and look more like sandstone. If I do want to make their abilities more unique, I could go with two sand-based abilities, one that's a goop-like substance that sticks to you and one that's literally just "power hose of sand that blinds you and scratches you to death"
