Been messing around in Ren’Py trying to learn some basic programming. I have something that’s functional, but I’ve been trying to think of what else I could try to do. Inspired by the Nier: Automata soundtrack, I thought about dynamic music - how the same track is done at different intensities and crossfades as the action picks up or slows down. I wondered if such a thing could be done in Ren’Py, and after playing Detective Google and doing some tinkering of my own, I discovered you can! So, here’s the first track, all three stages, that I’ve made with that in mind. I don’t know how often I’d be able to use such a technique (if at all), but the fact that I can has me very happy.

Might make a longer version of this sometime but I actually like how it sounds as a shorter loop haha
