Okay, so like, 30 minutes ago I found a jumping bug in the hallway by the front door that would only jump when I got near it. So naturally, I grabbed a jar and now I'm studying it. The bug has since only jumped twice but is using mostly it's head and abs to move around.
Here are a few of my notes:
The bug seems like it either 1) loves sit ups, 2) is giving birth, or 3) is dying (but they're all like, the same thing, right?)
its legs are moving spontaneously
it looks like where the head connect to the body is not very protected. Might have been torn a little while erratically jumping.
it looks as though the bug only has a head and abdomen.
looks like a little cockroach maybe?
only about an inch long
reddish-brown exoskeleton
6(?) whiteish legs
two antennas with lines (are about .25 inches long)
black beady eyes located at the tip of the head (not the top; the tip.)
If anyone has any clues on what this might be, please let me know and I will keep y'all posted.
