"I have no idea what you’re talking about." Coal wanted to hit him. The urge had popped up time and time again but hearing his words now made the urge stronger than ever. But e forced his hands to remain at his sides though his hands curled into fists. It wasn’t just sex. He knew that. If it was then he would’ve moved on without a problem once he realized they weren’t going to be together. Once he realized that he could hook up with her every now and then but at the end of the day she would always be Chase’s girlfriend no matter how much he hated it. Did he love her? There was no doubt about that in his mind. But in love? That was another thing completely. It had crossed his mind more than once but he’d always forced the words down just like he was now. He wasn’t going to say it until he was sure, and he definitely wasn’t going to ruin her relationship by admitting they had sex just to see the stupid look on Chase’s face once he finally said it. "With an attitude like that it’s no wonder you’re not exactly… getting the job done with he as far as stuff in the bedroom goes. Maybe you should work on that in your free time and stop coming around me and playing the insecure boyfriend card because this shit is getting old. Fast."

Coal groaned, burying his face further against the side of her neck as he shook his head. If there were a rule like that he would’ve known about it… right? Unless there was some rule his dad and uncle Mason hadn’t told him when they’d finally had the ‘so you’re going to be a father, here’s what you do’ talk years ago. Or maybe they had and he just tuned them out because he knew that despite how much he respected them both he was going to be a different type of dad than either of them ever were. “But… but… I’m not the one who had him,” he mumbled against her skin, shifting his hand down to rub her stomach lightly as if it would help him prove his point. When she didn’t respond he nudged her the his leg, allowing his hand to trail further along her stomach in hopes that she would start squirming and cave in so he wouldn’t have to though he knew he would be the one to cave in first. Especially if she cracked one of her eyes open and started to pout out him the way they both knew would break his will in seconds. She’d had him wrapped around her finger for years now and he didn’t see that changing anytime soon. “Bree… this is like, the worst rule ever.” Coal sighed before he finally pushed himself out of bed, turning the overused monitor off as he made his way out of the room. Stopping for a second to pull on the shirt he’d thrown to the side the night before to he glanced back towards the bed and rolled his eyes once he noticed the way her lips were curved up. “Haha, very funny. Don’t expect me to come back with breakfast.”

Ram had joked around about Poppy sucking his face off more times than he could count but he’d never actually felt like that was happening. At least not until tonight. It literally felt like she was trying to suck his face off and absorb his soul or some other freaky shit that he could explain but whenever he leaned back to try and catch his breath she was even closer than before. It took him another moment before he realized she literally was sucking his soul of his body. Instead of seeing it through his own eyes he had a front row view as the blurry edges of his soul started to come out before she ate them. She actually was a man eater.  

Coal nearly choked on the milk as it made it’s way down his throat once he realized Bree had actually said what he thought she had. Was he dreaming? No. No, if he was dreaming he would’ve been way smoother about the whole thing, and his face wouldn’t feel like it was on the verge from catching fire because of how hard he was blushing at her honesty. It wasn’t that he hadn’t been thinking the same thing minutes before, he just couldn’t say it in the middle of the cafeteria even if no one else was close enough to hear them. Especially since things between the two of them were never constant. One minute they were hooking up and the next she was holding hands with her boyfriend in the middle of the hallway looking as happy as he’d ever seen her. It drove him crazy in the best and occasionally worst way possible and was easily enough to keep Coal on his toes constantly around her. But he was happy with whatever was going on between him, not that that was on his mind. His mind was still stuck on what she’d said and his eyes were trailing over her body making it impossible to focus on anything besides how much he wanted her.  ”Then why are we still here? There’s no way lunch is more important than what you want. If that’s what you want then I’m pretty sure nothing is more important than that.” Leaning over, he wrapped his arm around her shoulders as if he was hugging her but leaned forward to kiss the side of her jaw, his teeth grazing against her skin lightly. “But my room is closer.”
