How does God see me? How should I see myself? We all carry around beliefs and descriptions of ourselves, but how much of that is true? 

The world tries to define us according to its standards, based on wealth, beauty, and power. But these are the things God says we are: beloved, chosen, redeemed, holy, delivered, elect, co-heir, and a royal priesthood, and so much more.

That the "reply" box limits your characters. But I wanted to elaborate on that last quote of Romans 8:17 because it really blew my mind. 

It says: 

"Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.”

I focused on the phrase co-heirs. To be a co-heir means that we're equal to Christ. Back in the day, they would give the larger inheritance to the older brother and the smaller inheritance to the younger brother but NO, not in this case. In God's eyes we are equal. Can you even comprehend that? Equal, not subservient. And it's so funny because we're SO imperfect yet God continually see the perfection in all of us, so perfect that He would share the inheritance with us, with me. 

But there's also a second part of it. We're also so equal that we must share in the suffering. Jesus laid on the cross for us...allowed them to torture Him, just to save our raggedy tails...people who reject and doubt Him constantly. So if we do attain all the "glory" we must also endure our suffering. Sad to say but it's true. Tell me one person you know who hasn't endured some sort of suffering. Makes your testimony that much stronger. To go through and come out victorious.
