A soft headcanon I have for Communications case 2:
During the 4 years that Kennith and Stephanie spent as best and closest friends, until their falling out (and, subsequently, Kennith's broadcast and death), Stephanie would often let Kennith play with, brush and style her hair. It was pleasant for her and Kennith found it very calming, enjoyable and a distraction for him when he felt miserable. This led to him becoming super good at making nice braids and other pretty hairstyles for Stephanie.
