i’m genuinely sad right now…i have loved criminal minds for almost a decade now, and every character means so incredibly much to me. but throwing in twists like this for the ~drama~ that completely botches 14 years of characterization is bizarre. i want, more than anything, for these characters to have a meaningful send-off, but i don’t know if that will happen now

WHAT!?!?!.....WHATT!!!
Okay I go off here for a few hours to watch a movie and decided not to watch Criminal Minds new episode in fear of what the confession might be and come back here to and read through the posts to see what the confession was since it’ll be easier on me that way just in case it was something horrible to find IT WAS SOMETHING HORRIBLE.
Okay! I’m lost is two in the morning and I’m confused here. What the heck Criminal MInds? JJ had *counts* 13 seasons to confess here and she should have reciprocated between one to half way through season 2 but instead she told him (possibly off screen or somewhere along that line) that she likes him as a friend and a little brother that means that the ship sailed she meet Will and had kids with him so that also means that the ship did not just sailed it sailed and sunk.
After that their relationship remained strictly platonic brother and sister nothing more through the seasons and I’m sure Reid got over his crush on her as well instead of making the epic fail that it is ReidxJJ they should just give Reid AN ACTUAL GIRLFRIEND how hard is that? is what we want to see him happy with a girl he meets
Instead we got (or possibly will get) is JJ’s 12+ year old SOLID relationship with Will ruined. Their marriage was practically a simbolism on the BAU beucause JJ and Will lasted so long together and kept their SOLID relationship going for so long polar opposite to what happened with Hayley and Hotch who divorced. JJ and Will always showed they respected each other loved each other and understood each other and more importantly he understood the BAU Agent was something she loved and was a part of her and respected her for it.
Are you mean to tell me that you’ll ruin that completely to bring back a fleeting crush back? I always felt Reid’s crush on her was based on the fact that at the time not many girls (as far as we could see) payed where interested in him romantically and JJ was the only female who interacted with him and was friendly to him thus him developing a crush on her. If I remember corrrectally he did tell Greenway “Do you think that’s why I can never get a date?” on season one.

Criminal Minds has gotten highkey boring because shit is too predictable now. I know all shows lose their magic, but I just loved the days like when I watched Revelations and there was that twist ending with Charles/Tobias and my mouth was dropped to the floor. Nowadays, everyone is just saved the last 5 minutes of an episode, and even with the minor characters who only appear as victims, they survive. I’m not saying like “YAY DEATH”, it’s just not worth it for me to watch the show anymore when it follows the same format every episode. To be clear, this isn’t me hating on the show, I still love it. Why else would I have a blog dedicated to it?
These nerds are back tonight and I’m SO EXCITED!!! Season 14 here we come!!
