I missed the post about someone stealing anothermindpalaces art (which I love her-so don't do that..that's not good for you) But the subject of reposting is touchy and hard for me, I find it wrong, and am a bit passionate about it...
NOW, does BBC own the screencaps? or the video? Well sure-if all you do is take a screencap and put it here on tumblr with no editing at all then in that case someone could repost and no one has a right to be flustered.. But if you have photoshop or other photo editing sources and you use that on the screencap to make a graphic the game changes.
You're taking BBC's work and you're putting a special twist that makes it even more UNIQUE, and in a way yours. Is it still BBC's? YES. I'm not claiming, "this character, this idea is ALL MINE!" However the creator has put special time, effort and thought into something, and it's respectful to keep the source there! To have someone takes the work is like saying (i've had reposts happen, so I know the feels) But it's like saying, "Here I'm better than you, I can make this artwork go farther and reach more people than you ever could, oh! And I'll just happen to get all the attention from it too." (I don't care if you say it's someone else's or not, you'll be getting the attention for the art, not the artist, that's NOT right.)
