Sebastian is still one hell of a TERRIFYINGLY COOL butler in overall S5 but I can't help but think the anime adaptation (episode 8) of these two manga panels has been toned down. From the composition/framing of the anime, it made Sebastian look less of a threat/intimidating, hence giving off a less ominous atmosphere. I think it could've been better to remove some of the blurry gas effect and chemical stuff on the table so we could see the bodies of the fake werewolf guys getting dragged by Sebastian clearly like in the manga, with a brief dead silence that focuses on the demon butler's eerie presence and the village crone's terrified face, followed by her gasp.
