So i already info dumped about this au on this twt thread but I'll share them here too :3

Isuka and Ace go to different schools. Garp is a faculty member at Isu's school. He tasked Isuka to tutor Ace and make sure he passes his midterm exams (due to a bet he made with Sengoku). If she succeeds, Garp will sponsor the student council's event or something (I haven't thought out what it would be)

The sponsorship would help the student council and the school, and she could help another student in their studies, so Isuka accepted the task. She went to Ace's school to meet him. She introduced herself and told him about the task, buuuut Ace said he wasn't interested 🫠

But Isuka is no quitter :v so for the following days and weeks, she chased Ace to get him to study with her. She used various methods to convince him, such as food bribery and 1:1 challenges

Eventually tho, none of them worked anymore and as the midterm exams quickly approached, Isu was starting to feel hopeless so she sincerely asked Ace for his cooperation and told him why she was doing this

She said that after the midterm exams, Ace wouldn't have to see her again. She doesn't wanna give up while she still has a chance. Whatever his exam results would be, the important thing was she did her best. She just hoped he would too. She knows Ace is more than what people expect from him

Hearing Isuka say he's more than what people make him out to be struck a chord in him, and hearing her say he might not see her again made him sad. He got used to seeing her every after school and as much as it may annoy him, he also admired her persistence

So, quite bashfully, he finally accepted Isuka's tutoring. Isuka was delighted :3

For the remaining week before the midterm exams, Ace studied seriously under Isuka's tutoring. To keep Ace's motivation going, Isuka asked him if there was anything he wanted as reward for his hard work. Ace simply said he wanna keep seeing Isuka after the exams are over, to which Isuka took as he wanted to keep studying with her and was excited xD Ace didn't want any more studying but if that's what would keep Isuka hang out with him more, then so be it :v

Examination days came and went, and soon the results were out. Ace passed all his exams :D he was so smug about it to his friends lol and Isuka was very proud of him :D

As promised, Isuka continued studying with Ace every after school :3 she's been at his house so many times, his cat Kotatsu was already fond of her. She has also met his brothers. His friends started teasing Ace when they learned he continued studying with Isu after the exams lol

I think I have spoiled how the fic would go here lol :v I don't know if it counts as slow burn but Ace and Isuka would get closer to each other as they spend more time together :3
