Cloudy Seas
Splash-back cakes her sneakers with a layer of muddy waters. Splatters of morning rain and soggy earth dry on denim and bright socks. She swishes mannerisms on her tongue; hands grip handlebars while accusations follow her at three miles per hour about who she is and isn’t.
She’s catastrophe spilling over, landslides pedaling over gravel and drying asphalt. Blue skies try to cover the land below with the sun and fading rainbow ring. Smiling, she knows she will not be a villain forever.
