I'd just like to talk about my fos source material for a moment, if you will.
*inhale*
How is it that one show can provide so much comfort and happiness to me?
Like, here we have a show, a children's show that's been going on for ages. Not gonna say what It is but if u know me then you could probably figure it out. And as a kid I ADORED it. I adored the characters, I adored the world they live in, I adored the music. And I was, in a way, selfshipping with the characters even thou I was 8 and had no idea what I was doing lol. I didn't really care though, I was just like "haha these characters are all my friends now :)"
Then, as you would with any children's show, you stop watching it. And I did too. But the love i had for the characters still stuck in the back of my head. Any time I saw toys of them, or happened to catch a bit of a episode on tv, I felt happy.
And then, one day in April, about 10 years after I stopped watching said source material, I happened to spot something regarding my fos source material on yt, and my brain was like this:
Brain: hey remember how you loved that show so much you thought you were best friends with the main characters? Let's do that again.
So, during a massive rewatching of the source material, I fell in love with it again, and I regained those fos as a result lol.
And I love them all so much :3 they may be big, they may be non human, some of them may be a little intimidating despite being brightly coloured, but they're the best fos I could have. My cheeky bastards I call best friends, My kind and helpful (albeit sometimes bossy) big sister figure, my smug and vain bf, and my parental fos who I can't really describe collectively but believe me, I love them a lot. Not to mention, all the side characters I consider my friends :3
