It's the Cumulus Celebration! The day for cloud surfing Wake bright and early when the first bird is chirping Go grab your sky boards and fasten your bird wings Folks of all ages; the oldies and yearlings Elders are cloud sitting, contently observing While tots fly with training wings, eagerly learning Some fly in straight lines or organised vees Together in unison ride with the breeze If you like to fly solo, do as you please Familiar flyers fly high with great ease You may find yourself soaring over the seas Others prefer to glide through tall trees If that isn't for you, be patient Dear One I can show you there's plenty of ways to have fun There are tournaments held to race to the sun And sports where flying frisbies are spun The list just continues, I've only begun There is something fun for everyone! At the end of the day when the sun is returning Smiles on faces, together descending Loud from afar, I can hear them all singing As they ground themselves safely, removing their wings I hope that you learned a lot of wonderful things Come with us next year when we go cloud surfing!
