Hi! This is going back to the previous ask. Could I request cloud strife's reaction to seeing a pokemon trainer use a pokemon against sephiroth? Both a normal pokemon and a legendary?
Even though I think it would be extremely cool to see Sephiroth in battle with a legendary pokemon, I can't get the image of him getting terrorized by a fucked up regular pokemon out of my head.
Sephiroth hates to see you coming, because he knows you're about to send that dumbass fearow after him. What is wrong with your fearow? Why does it scream like a human man who just slammed his hand in the car door? What are you doing to this shitty bird that makes it so bloodthirsty? Why do you only send the fearow after him? He knows you have more pokemon. Why is it so fast?
Logically, Sephiroth knows this is your fault. It's your pokemon. But he has more beef with the fearow than you at this point.
Cloud is stressed, initially. Like, you know Sephiroth has killed people for less, right? He burnt down a village because he was in his feelings.
... On the other hand, fearow is genuinely the only thing that has ever made Sephiroth flinch. All Cloud can think about is when people get attacked by seagulls at the beach. This is becoming the height of comedy for him, and you're making it really hard for him to keep up his stoic, "cool guy" front.
But you like to keep Sephiroth on his toes. One day, you take out a beat up looking pokeball. Sephiroth is twitching; he's already frazzled. Cloud holds his breath, waiting to hear the bird's shriek.
... Only for you to send out a Mewtwo.
And Sephiroth can tell you've been talking about him to the mewtwo, because it's lecturing Sephiroth about wasting the gift of life.

Summary: In which you pay the new merc in town for a job well done, and he pays you back without you even knowing
The first time you saw him, you blanked completely. You were the one who had requested for help from the new merc, but you weren't expecting this. You werenât expecting a man like him.
You realized you were staring when he started walking away, quickly catching up to him and grabbing his wrist. "Hey, wait! Sorry about that, I just spaced out. Are you the new merc?" you asked, utterly embarrassed and hoping he'd still help you.
"Yeah. So what's the job?" he asked.
'Wow. He's pretty straightforward.' you thought. "Well there's been a few reports from my tenants about wererats, and I can't exactly check it myself. I'm not much of a fighter."
"Alright, I'll take care of it. But if there's no wererats, I am still getting paid, right?" He asked curtly, looking towards you for an answer.
"Yeah of course, I'm not an idiot. You either get paid for getting rid of 'em or for confirming that there aren't any." you laughed. He nodded at you, and while you expected him to leave right away, he stood staring at you. Confused, you were about to ask what was wrong when you realized the feeling under your hand. It had still been on his wrist, so you quickly whipped it back.
"Oh, sorry. Didn't even realize." you said, once again embarrassing yourself in front of him. He grunted, but didn't budge an inch, still staring at you. You shifted under his gaze, getting slightly uncomfortable. You looked up at him and met his eyes, "Uh, what is it?" you asked nervously.
"You look really familiar. Where do I know you from?"
You blanked. You couldn't remember seeing him before, and with a face like his there's no way you could've forgotten him. Your eyebrows furrowed as you tried to think of where you could've met him. "Um, well, Marle is basically my grandmother. Maybe you've seen me near her apartments?" you suggested.
To which he replied with a simple "No."
"Oh. Um, well, maybe at Seventh Heaven? I work shifts there sometimes with Tifa, and I run the bar when she's not available." you suggested, as it was really the only other place he could've seen you since he didn't live in your building.
"Oh... yeah. Yeah, that's probably it." The man couldn't even look you in the eyes, so you figured he probably mistook you for someone else and just didn't want to embarrass you or himself by admitting it.
âAlright. Well now that thatâs out of the way, do you think you couldâŚâ you trailed off, not wanting to seem rude by cutting off the conversation so abruptly but also wanting the wererat situation cleared up.
âShit, sorry. Yeah, Iâll get right on it.â he said while turning to get on his motorcycle.
âOh, really quick, uh⌠Whatâs your name? I donât wanna just call you âmercâ, you know?â you yelled.
âItâs Cloud.â And with that, he was off.
~ x ~
âHey Tifa, whoâs Cloud?â you asked as you walked into the bar. Tifa glanced at you, a look of surprise on her face.
While you greeted Marlene and Barret, she said âHeâs an old friend and the new merc, why do you ask?â
âHe said I looked familiar when he came by my building, but I swear Iâve never seen him before. He said he saw me working here.â you said, still thinking about your encounter.
âOh yeah, he definitely saw you here. Multiple times actually.â Tifa said as she laughed, leaving you puzzled. When had he seen you here? Tifa usually ran the bar on her own, only calling you in when it was especially busy or if she had to go on a mission with Avalanche. Neither had happened in a while, so how could he have possibly seen you? Youâd only gone for a drink a few times, and every time the bar was empty except for you and Tifa.
Your confusion had probably shown on your face, as Tifa laughed again. âYou really donât remember seeing him at all?â
âNo! I swear, every time Iâve come in lately, itâs just been you and me. And maybe Marlene.â you sigh, wondering if Tifa was just messing with you or if your memory had actually been failing you.
âWell I promise heâs seen you here. I donât know, maybe you never saw him.â she said with a chuckle. Just as you were going to ask her what she meant, the doors to Seventh Heaven opened.
You turned around, and your eyes were met with piercing blue ones. âHey,â said Cloud as he approached you at the bar. âThere were a few wererats near your building. Theyâre gone now.â
Your face brightened at the news, âThank you so much. God, I donât know how I wouldâve gotten rid of them if it wasnât for you. So how much do I owe you?â
â100 gil.â
âThatâs all? Are you sure?â you asked with uncertainty. Sure, Cloud seemed plenty strong, but 100 gil seemed so little for the job he had done.
âYeah. 100 is fine.âÂ
Barret turned to the two of you, looking at Cloud with an incredulous look. âThe hell? You ainât never taken a job from us for less than 1000 gil. Not even taken one from around town for less than 300. Whatâs got you discountinâ, huh?â Barret says with a smirk.
You glance back and forth between Barret and Cloud, âOh, well if thatâs the case, then 100 gil is way too low! Here,â you say as you grab Cloudâs hand and put the gil into his palm. âThis is the 100 for the job, and an extra 150 for your hard work.â You smile up at Cloud before turning around to ask Tifa for a drink.Â
With your back turned, you donât see Cloudâs glare at Barret, nor the smug smirk Barret sends back. After finishing your drink and conversing with the others, you realize you donât have any gil on you to pay for your drink, asking Tifa to put it on your tab. As you wave, your eyes meet Cloudâs, and you flash him a small smile.Â
Once youâre gone, Barret and Tifa turn to Cloud. âWhat?â Cloud asks, already suspicious of what theyâre going to say.
âSo, when are you gonna admit that you have feelings for my best friend?â Tifa asks with a smile. Cloud looks at her shocked.
âWhat? What are you talking about?â he stammers.
Barret leans back and lets out a loud laugh. âOh come on now, even Marleneâs been askinâ me when youâre gonna say âI like you'."
âWell tell her itâs not gonna happen. I donât have feelings for anyoneâ Cloud says as he gets up to leave.Â
As the other two laugh and continue talking, they pretend not to notice the light blush on Cloudâs face or the very small smile he wears when he says your name. What they actually donât notice until after heâs left is the 150 gil he leaves next to your drink, and the 100 he leaves next to his.

REMEMBER THAT IMAGINES/ONESHOTS REQUESTS ARE CLOSED!
Cloud lied down on his bed, thoughtful. His blue eyes were focused in the ceiling above him even if he wasnât really watching it. His mind was far away from the room, as he couldnât stop thinking about his soulmate.
Almost like they had been thinking about him too, the blond felt a soft tingle in his arm and he quickly looked down to it. The round but messy handwriting of his soulmate was etched there once more. This time, just like the others, it read something that he couldnât quite understand. âBaker 23â.
Most of the time, when he read what his soulmate wrote, he didnât get it. Sometimes it was a combination of random words and number just like that one, other times it was phrases like âthe usual, 2 big, Jâ and Cloud wished it could tell him something about them. He had tried replying, writing something in his other arm so it hopefully appeared on the soulmateâs skin too. He never got any replies.
Hurriedly sitting up on the bed and picking up the marker that he kept on the bedside table, Cloud scribbled something in his left arm. The marker hovered over his skin for a moment as he thought what to write in case they saw it this time. He decided for something simple and wrote down the word âhelloâ.
Patiently waiting, Cloud thought about the situation. Did his soulmate not see his notes? Did they see them but were unable to reply? Were they afraid to reply? If only they knew how their particular bond worked, they would manage to communicate with each other.
The blond took a quick look at his arm again, but the words in his skin hadnât changed. With a resigned sigh, Cloud lied back down and fantasized about meeting his mysterious soulmate.

Y/N grunted in frustration, being overwhelmed at how crowded the shop was once again. Sharing delicious food with people sure was great, and it was amazing that everyone loved the dishes so much, but it was incredibly stressful running such a busy business. Hopefully their new plan would work and someone would show up to help once for all.
With speed and efficiency, Y/N put the food in different containers and closed them, delivering it to the people waiting and loudly reclaiming their food. Apparently everyone was in a hurry, or rather they were just really impatient.
Crossing out names and dishes, Y/N then proceeded to take a little break. It was then when the improvised delivery guy appeared. He was just one of Y/Nâs friends, who helped by getting the food delivered when they had the brilliant idea of not only serving food at the store, but also at the clientsâ homes as long as they paid a little extra money. The only problem was that the âdelivery guyâ didnât have a vehicle and had to go everywhere by foot, which took too much time.
âNo news from the ad?â He asked Y/N, who sighed and plopped down on a chair.
âNot yetâ The aforesaid replied, noticing the establishment was finally empty after hours of serving. âHopefully someone will show up soonâ
âWhat if they donât?â
âThen weâre screwedâŚâ
Y/N looked down to the notepad, which everybody said it was âjust your armâ, but it was better than actual notepads. Those you could lose or misplace and it ended up being a mess. It was easier to just write on oneâs arm, even if with messy and hurried handwriting.
As they were about to scribble the word âADâ to try and remember to check on any possible volunteers to be the delivery person as it was asked on the advert, something appeared on the other arm. The word âhelloâ had appeared, making their heart race. Y/Nâs soulmate had been trying to communicate, leaving little messages like those. But the diner was far too busy to stop and take the time to respond. If only they could meet, they could find out the true meaning behind the term âsoulmateâ.

Completely forgetting about that mysterious person who wouldnât reply, or at least trying to, Cloud went outside on his motorbike. The skin on his arm seemed to mildly tingle still, and his blue eyes briefly fell on it. Two letters showed up on his wrist, âADâ. As usual, he had no idea what they meant.
He accelerated on his bike, trying to shove aside the obsessive thought of his mysterious soulmate. Cloud sighed in frustration. At least the familiar feeling of riding his motorbike made him feel free. The wind in his hair, the adrenaline running through his veins, the impact of the speed on his body.
But suddenly, Cloud had to bring his bike to a halt. He gasped when he saw a big poster that seemed familiar to him. He had seen those posters all over town, but paid no attention to them. Until the pieces seemed to click in his mind. It wasnât A.D. as in letters or initials. It was âadâ as in advertisement.
The blond quickly stood from his motorbike and swiftly ripped the poster off the wall. His blue eyes traveled through the words, assimilating them as fast as he could. A hunch told him it was important, that such poster could very well lead him to his soulmate. Once and for all.
âHelp neededâ He read again, silently mouthing the words he had almost memorized by now. âDelivery person for hire at our shop, access to personal vehicle requiredâ
Folding it neatly like it was a treasure map, Cloud saved the poster in his pocket. He looked over his shoulder to his bike and walked back to it. When he started the engine once more, he knew he wasnât wandering anymore. He now had a destination.
Even as the city was a blur around him, his bike didnât seem to move fast enough. To compensate for this, Cloudâs heart was wildly racing inside his chest. His mind was running free, imagining the many scenarios in which he could met his soulmate. Finally. How they would smile at him when they were hit with realization. How their eyes would light up. The way they would immediately know one another as soon as they were face to face. Like they had known each other all life. Because they were destined to be together.
When Cloud finally made it to the address specified in the poster, his heart was still beating fast. He paused at the door, taking a good look at the place. He imagined a big restaurant, classy and expensive. He was almost relieved to see it was simple and humble. It was only a small establishment, still filled to the brims.
He walked in with determination, not letting that nervous feeling in his stomach to take over. A little bell rang over his head when he opened the door, gathering the attention from the people behind the counter.
His eyes wandered around, examining each person trying to determine who could be the one he was looking for. He felt himself shaking slightly as he advanced towards the counter.
âHelloâ A person greeted him from behind it. âIâll be with you in a momentâ
âAlrightâ Cloud muttered, watching them in curiosity.
They wrote something on their arm and absently put the pen on their ear for safekeeping. Cloudâs heart skipped a beat when he noticed their arm was actually scribbled all over, words written with dark ink staining their skin. However, he told himself to calm down since that didnât mean they were his soulmate.
He closely watched them as they hurriedly walked up and down, frantically taking orders and serving dishes. Cloud thought to himself that, if that were the one, it all made sense. They were probably too busy to reciprocate. But that could change. He was there now.
When they were finally ready, they approached Cloud again.
âOkayâ They said, nearly breathless from all the movement. âHow can I help you?â
âI was here for the⌠ad?â As he held the poster up, Cloud couldnât help but to glance down to their arm, searching for that very word. It was useless trying to look for it in the sea of letters written on it.
âReally? Oh, thatâs great!â Someone dinged a bell, earning their attention. They took a step away, already heading to their new customer. âYouâre hired!â
âButâŚâ Cloud uttered in astonishment, seeing as they were already leaving.
âRight now Iâm swamped, but come back tomorrow, first thing in the morning!â They exclaimed over the pandemonium of voices. âNameâs Y/N, by the way!â
The blond gawked at them, rendered helpless as they were already gone. He still lingered there, watching in fascination how they attended the customers.
Resigned, Cloud sighed and took a step back. Maybe that wasnât it. It definitely wasnât how he had pictured it anyway.
As he was heading back for the exit, he tensed up with a familiar feeling. His skin was tingling like it had done many times, and soon enough something was appearing on his bare forearm. He immediately whipped his head back, just in time to see Y/N writing something down on their arm.
Cloud couldnât help but to smile a little when he read the words âmeeting the hot blond guy tomorrow morningâ as they showed up on his skin. The spark of hope had ignited inside his chest once more.
-
Y/Nâs mind burned with thoughts. As they made it to their store, they yawned and shook their head. The remnants of slumber were still trying to claim them back. Or maybe it was the exhaustion of lack of sleep and working too much.
âMorningâ A deep voice said, causing Y/N to look up in surprise.
The blond guy from the day before was already there. He was leaning down on his motorbike, parked right next to the shop. Honestly, they had supposed he wouldnât be showing up until much later. Y/N didnât expect him for hours, it was barely dawn.
âGood morningâ They replied, heading for the door. âLetâs talk businessâ
âActuallyâŚâ He began, leaning away from his motorbike.
âSorry, I didnât catch your nameâ Y/N interrupted, already jittery for the day ahead.
âUh, Cloud...â He frowned, looking down to his crossed arms.
âWell, Cloud, we got a lot to doâ They went to open the big metallic door, which the blond helped to slide up with ease. âWe already have a few deliveries to makeâ
âYouâre not open yetâ He replied, puzzled by their statement.
âTell me about itâ Y/N huffed in exhaustion.
âI was⌠actually hoping to talk to youâ
âWhat about?â
âWell, IâŚâ
âLookâ Y/N shook their head, noticing his hesitance. âIf itâs not work related, I donât have the time for itâ
âButâŚâ
âIâm sorry, but Iâm way too busy to think of anything elseâ
Cloud gawked at them and watched them get to work. Y/N was already inside, moving some boxes and opening others. They heard an annoyed sigh behind them and before they could turn around to Cloud, he had grabbed their arm and tugged at it.
âItâs importantâ Cloud urged them, bearing a grave expression.
âOkayâŚâ Wary about whatever he had to say, Y/N faced him completely. âBut please make it quickâ
They couldnât really think what was so important. Cloud was basically a stranger, a person that showed up in their lives not long ago. They had only met a day ago and exchanged very few words. What could he have to say with such urgency?
To their bewilderment, Cloud showed them his forearm. Y/N stared, baffled, at his bare skin. There was nothing worth noticing in it.
âYour arm?â They blinked repeatedly. âWhat about it?â
âIt erased alreadyâŚâ Cloud clicked his tongue, now holding his hand up. âCan I have your pen?â
Y/N frowned, carefully taking the pen they always carried in its place tucked over their ear and handing it to him. Cloudâs brows furrowed in concentration as he started writing something down on his own arm.
Startled, Y/N jolted up when they felt something tingling. Butterflies flew in their stomach when they realized it was the exact same spot Cloud was writing in, although he wasnât touching Y/Nâs arm.
Feeling too shocked to utter any words, all they managed to do was look down at their own arm. Y/N then read the words Cloud had written in his, but replicated on their own. They read âI think weâre soulmatesâ.
Y/N shoved a hand against their mouth, staring at Cloud in awe. The both then locked eyes with them, but remained silent. Y/N wondered if he was experiencing the same as them. The racing heart, the shaking knees, the stomach in knots, the urge to smile.
Blindly reaching out, Y/N pulled out a chair without looking away from him and plopped down on it. They took a deep breath when the pressure was lifted from them to remain standing. It felt like too much at the moment.
Moving carefully as to not startle or upset them, Cloud did the same. He sat down on his own chair, right by their side. The silence lingered for several more seconds.
âI⌠I donât know what to sayâŚâ Y/N finally uttered with a weak voice.
Cloud didnât reply. Instead, he looked down and wrote down on his arms, right below the words he had previously scribbled and that were starting to erase already.
âYou donât have to say anythingâ He wrote with messy handwriting.
Y/N felt guilty when they recognized the calligraphy. They had seen it before, but had never tried responding to it. They had been scared to commit to their soulmate, but also too busy to focus on other thing that wasnât work.
They took a deep breath and grabbed a spare pen from their pocket. Their hands were trembling as they began writing a response.
âIâm sorry that I never spoke to you before butâŚâ Y/N paused, not knowing how to express themselves. âIâm glad I got to meet youâ
They smiled, and with the corner of the eye noticed him smiling as well.
âMe tooâ Cloud wrote, not daring to glance up from his arm.
Even if the person he had been waiting for was finally sitting next to him. Even if they were so close that they could touch, but he didnât reach out. Surprisingly, the moment was mildly awkward taking in consideration they were actual soulmates.
âI can help youâ Cloud continued, still writing. It felt easier than speaking up. âThat way you wonât have to be so busyâ
âI would like thatâ Y/N replied on their arms. The silence returned, this time calmer. Simpler. More comfortable.
Y/N timidly scooted closer to him. Their sides were brushing now, but even if Cloud slightly tensed up at their sudden closeness, he didnât move away. Y/N smiled and placed a hesitant hand over his. Cloud didnât react for several seconds, but then rotated his hand so it was enveloping Y/Nâs. When they dared to lean their head on Cloudâs shoulder it felt⌠perfect. For the first time in they didnât know how long, Y/N didnât feel frantic. They could breathe, they could take a break and relax. Now Cloud was there for them, like they would be for him. And they felt safe there with him now.

Can i get Headcannon's to cloud from final fantasy seeing a pokemon trainer use pokemon in a battle ?
You just threw a ball and a fucking seven foot furry with punches that light things on fire somehow came out? Cloudâs life is weird enough already. This may as well happen
At first he thinks itâs a summon, some kind of rare materia, or something that would make sense. Later, you try to explain the concept of pokemon to him. Cloud just stares at you with the most blank expression youâve ever seen a human adult wear
He does try to ask questions, because he still wants to understand. How do you catch a pokemon? What do they do? Can they be evil? Is this legal? Do the pokemon like fighting, or is it just a day job?
He has a very vivid image in his mind of Tifa deciding to square up with one of the creatures in order to catch it when you explain that you fight them to weaken them so that you can then catch them
âWhy does it keep saying its own name?â âThatâs the only word he knows.â âSo heâs stupid.â âNo,â
Cloud wants a pokemon
I personally like to think that Pokemon (like, the series) exists in the final fantasy universe, so if it does that makes him not understanding the concept even funnier
I think I'm having a quarter-life crisis. What would your fave ffvii character's quarter-life crisises be about?
Tifaâs would be pretty calm. She would realize the world has been shitty her entire life, so she would cope by getting a tattoo she always wanted or cutting her hair in a way sheâs always wanted. She would have a crisis and decide sheâs tired of waiting to be happy.
Cloudâs (aside from the one we see) would be him realizing that âsecond pubertyâ isnât going to come. Heâs going to look like this for a long time, and he just has to deal with it.
Angeal, opposite of Cloud, would realize he looks old as hell for him to be so young. Yes, heâs attractive, but heâs only in his twenties and people think heâs Zackâs father. He has never been carded buying alcohol in his life.Â

How would the Soldier boys and Avalanche react to mandatory quarantine?
Angeal is doing fine, but heâs bored as fuck. Heâs ordering food to be delivered every day and justifying it by saying heâs stimulating the economy. He canât remember the last time he talked to somebody.
Genesis just keeps ordering new books offline. Because heâs locked up and nobody is around to judge him, heâs attempting to grow a beard. It isnât going well.
Sephiroth isnât a fan of things. He was a homebody before, but now heâs mad heâs not allowed to go outside. He doesnât like being told what to do. Heâs looking for a job at a pharmacy or something so that he can have a reason to go out.
Zack is faring horribly. He wants to go outside! He misses his friends, and he misses the sun. He keeps calling people and complaining that he feels like heâs about to die.
Cloud is stuck with Tifa and Barret at the bar. Tifa is doing fine. Barret and Cloud are ten seconds from attacking each other. Sometimes, when sheâs bored, sheâll make them sit downstairs and sheâll pretend theyâre customers.
Nobody knows what Vincent is doing. Everyone just assumed heâs in the woods or some shit. Heâs asleep in Cidâs basement. Cid has started to sleep on his porch, because technically heâs not in public if he does this. Heâs unaware that Vincent is asleep in his basement.
Yuffie wonât quarantine properly. She keeps going to Aerithâs house, because Aerith is the only one who wonât yell at her. Aerith usually just sprays her with Lysol and tells her to go home.
if youâre taking requests can i get cloud with a black significant other head cannons/imagines. love ur writing btw :)
Cloud is pretty useless when it comes to your hair. He can barely do his own. Donât expect any cute moments where he helps you on wash day, or he does a braid out for you. Itâs not going to happen
If you can cook, there's a few classics he's never had before. You had a sweet potato pie once and now he asks for it all the time, even if you arenât talking about eating desserts
One of Cloudâs favorite things to do is introduce you to evil white people food. Have you ever seen canned potato salad? Have you ever eaten mini sausages simmered in mustard and jelly? Heâs about to make you feel violence
Foodâs really important to him, is what Iâm trying to say. Both as a means to bond and as a means to (playfully) terrorize you
The great thing about Cloud is that he isnât one of those people who âforgetsâ that he isnât black. He knows heâs a Whiteman and he stays in his lane
Heâs never used lotion in his life, so youâll have to deal with that. The first time you said something about being ashy, he looked you dead in the eye and went, âThereâs no fireplace in here?â
Vincent was trying to be nice and help Tifa glue on some acrylic nails. He didnât know the glue was strong, and he ended up with one hand glued shut and the other glued to her. Tifa couldnât calm down long enough to free him.
Cloud ran into a parked car immediately after buying a cup of coffee from the gas station. The employee watching from the window was helpless to stop him.
Barret was stressed out, so he decided to do some exercises. While he was squatting, he tore a hole in the seat of his pants. He didnât even bother to change, he just tied a jacket around his waist.
Aerith was eating a candy bar, and she thought it was the most disgusting candy sheâd had in her life. The reality was sheâd forgotten to take the foil off.
Tifa was tired and tried to lean against a wall, but there was no wall. She hit the ground and just laid there. It was so sudden they thought she died for a minute.
