Last Exile, whatever that show I saw twice was supposed to be about, had the benefit of having an ethereal song to make sure I never forget about...the glass girl. Hm. Oh, and those two kids that never got together. Don't waste your time, shippers.

Its old but Last Exile was one of the first anime’s that I bought from Borders ( when Borders was a thing heh) and even though I never finished it it had a pretty good story and the music was funky and the character designs and motives were cool! I believe they made a sequel Last Exile Fam The Silver Wing

Tarn’s many travels brought him in contact with many cultures and their fine arts. Some, he never learned appreciation for, but others carried a tune that plucked a chord in him. They joined his ever-growing collection but Tarn always found himself going back to an old favorite.
The Empyrean Suite was a pre-Golden Age song and it had aged wonderfully. It was one of the best songs to come out of Cybertron, in Tarn’s opinion, and never lost replayability. The somber, dark beat floated in the acoustically-enhanced angles of his room, draped itself across the furniture, and implicated secret things within the confines of each note. It was a shiver of a song, darkly draped, each piece artfully crafted to flow into the next sober sound.
It would be nice to share it. His own team, unfortunately, never appreciated music like he did. To each their own, of course, but it was nice to share something with someone occasionally.
He didn’t dare try to approach his lord with something so petty. But perhaps... his new companion might...?
