My Partner bought this scarf recently but after wearing it for a brief time decided it actually needed to be a strap for their purse. They asked me to make it short enough to fit over their shoulder and add a pad for comfort, and to remove the tassels so they can clip it onto the d-rings.
I really love the fabric we chose for this, I think itβs so fitting both for the color match and the sci-fi mood. The shoulder pad also has some batting added for extra cushion.
The pad came out a bit wider than we intended but with how the material works it wasnβt really easy to make it any smaller. Otherwise this came out quite nicely, and they have sent me photos wearing it! π

It hit me the other day that I never posted my Halloween costume from last year! I had no idea what kind of costume to wear this past year, so I pulled together a color palette with existing pieces and old cosplay supplies.
I call this look "CMY2K," but the makeup made it look a lot more 80's. People at the Halloween party thought I was either David Bowie or a CMYK printer test page. Both equally correct, tbh.

Absurd studded knee pants. I reinforced the inside of the of the pants around the knees with denim cut from an old pair of jeans. Then I put the studs in and finally put more denim over the backs of the studs so I don't scrape my knees every time I put them on or take them off. Next I'm covering the pants in blank patches. Then adding a few graphic patches over the blanks.

I love when I just randomly remember that I have the full ability to alter my clothes as I want. I've had these camis for a few years now and the little buckle on the straps always digs into my shoulder in the worst possible way. It occurred to me yesterday that I could literally just, remove it, and sew the straps to the length I prefer. I've already done one and it has brought such joy to not have that plastic covered metal buckle digging into my shoulder blade like it's trying to fuse with my soul. I have my small pile that is about to declawed and I am so excited.
