Here’s a thought~
So you remember in edas requiem how this happened:
Raine is told that they would be to much of a hassle to replace, and that they need to be alive for the day of unity
This sounds quite familiar, I know
Fast forward to eclipse lake where this happens:
Then this happens right after:
So we learn that hunter may be a clone of emperor belos himself, but we also hear that phrase, “too much of a hassle to replace” again.
Add all this information to the fact that we are being introduced to some of the other coven leaders and here’s my theory,
I think that the day of unity will require the sacrifice of each of the coven leaders, and with Lilith having defected, that leaves Belos as the technical leader of the emperor’s coven
Obviously Belos isn’t going to sacrifice himself(I think), which is why he need a clone, hunter.
