It's my 14 year anniversary on Tumblr 🥳 I’m genuinely surprised it hasn’t been longer. But then again I always have been a little slow to adapt to new technologies.

Behold the only surviving photo of me from 14 years ago, about to go on what I’m pretty sure was about my fourth non-hospital-related date with my now wife, @baglieg.

And here we are 14 years on, in front of the little house where we and our internet live. This photo was taken just before we headed off to celebrate our 4 year wedding anniversary.

When our celebrant, Bridie (really), said "you could write your own vows" externally we were like "oh nice" but on the inside, oh, panic. But then later I happened to go into a discount bookshop, and stumbled upon a textbook by notable big gay Stephen Fry on how to write traditional poetry, and it gave me one (1) idea. Ok, that's a lie, it gave me two ideas, but it turns out the sapphic ode is a much trickier metre to learn so I went with iambic pentameter instead.

Anyway.
