after figuring out where he was, after settling in properly and getting a place to stay for the night, he really didn’t expect to nearly get robbed. he’s using the term nearly loosely here because the odds of this robber picking him to rob ? listen. listen, it’s kinda funny. okay, really funny, but still. he’s kinda just humouring the guy, hands up, features soft and placating.
he spots someone passing by in the corner of his eye. glancing back at the robber, he shrugs, “ look, i’ll make this fast. ” he knocks the knife out of the guy’s hand before speeding him to the edge of the city, coming right back to the alley before walking out. he can’t tell if the person saw what happened -- well, rather, just saw a guy be there before not being there anymore -- but he never was that good when it came to hiding his powers.
