This gold crown contains various colored gems, though depending on the lighting, sometimes they appear almost black. It was worn in 2018 by Clive Owen as King Claudius in 𝑶𝒑𝒉𝒆𝒍𝒊𝒂. It was later used in 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑾𝒊𝒕𝒄𝒉𝒆𝒓 by Shaun Dooley as King Foltest in 2019. Finally, in 2024, it was worn in 𝑹𝒊𝒔𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑹𝒂𝒗𝒆𝒏 on László Gálffi as the Holy Roman Emperor Sigismund. “Children of Men”
I have always appreciated the movie “Children of Men” for various reasons. Aside from the technical aspects of the film and it’s obvious brilliance - I’ve always found this story to be immensely important with it’s sobering social commentary.
I do not know what the future holds for humanity in real life as we know it, but I do certainly pray it does not share any resemblance to the dystopian imagery of this bleak & tragic story. Oh! and if you have NOT seen this movie - this video is spoileriffic so yeah - don’t ruin it for yourself.
Love this film - my favorite thing Clive Owen has done (that I’ve seen thus far) and same for director Alfonso Cuarón (although I haven’t seen all of his work either). Absolutely Brilliant!
