Personally I never really thought about how they looked, the whole thing made me cringe, but not for the designs, i was always indifferent towards it I thought they looked ok, they look exactly how you expect them to be, so seeing people get all upset about it is kinda funny.

Also I saw a lot of people hating how Buttercup looks (and almost no complaints about other two hmm odd..) how more feminine teen Buttercup looks as a teen saying she’s no longer a hard tomboy and, she never was to begin with anyway? Well yes she is a tomboy, she’s the tomboy of the group but she’s a girly tomboy, she enjoys girlie things as much as her sisters does and always was (she wears a cute dress and maryjanes shoes) she just likes to fight more.

Imo I think teen Buttercup would probably dress up like Sporty Spice, which is what she’s already wearing in canon anyway.
