Trevor the cat, with paws so small,
Climbing high, above it all,
On top of the cabinet he perches,
With grace and skill, he never lurches.
He surveys his kingdom from above,
A feline ruler, full of love,
He's learned to climb, and now can descend,
His independence, we can't pretend.
Though we may worry, and fret and stew,
Trevor is learning, just like we do,
To be independent and strong and free,
Trevor my cat, you're an inspiration to me.
So here's to you, Trevor, our feline friend,
May your adventures never come to an end,
Climb high and explore, with all your might,
For you are a cat, and you do it right.
