Cliff was born September 7, 2003 (19 years old) in the US to a Japanese scientist and a Scottish-American surgeon. He stands at 5'8" and weighs around 135#, but it fluctuates a lot based on his health. He has amber eyes, straight reddish brown hair and a slight build. He has one older sister by 10 years named Moira Elizabeth - she is married to an American named Richard and has a young son named Arthur. His boyfriend and roommate is Elliot Murphy. They were also classmates in middle and high school, but avoided each other after Eli became bullied by rich classmates that Cliff was obligated to maintain relationships with for social standing. Both now major in biology at university, Cliff aiming to be a doctor after a failed stint at pre-law, and they work at a local coffee spot (though Cliff only works part time).

Cliff is a very anxious person and undoubtedly introverted. He is not very open about his feelings and tends to keep to himself, doing the bare minimum that qualifies him as a friendly person. He can be a little short-sighted and only cares about the opinions of people he personally judges as important - but when it comes to those people, he cares a lot about what they think of him, causing him to be sesntivie to criticism. He is very polite to everyone though and has always been studious - however if he loses interest, he also tends to lose motivation to do well in school. For most of his life he didn't smile very much, but his personality has become more genuine since he started dating Eli. He's come into his more feminine side now that he's not under the influence of his rigid and cold parents. He's grown his hair longer and developed a better sense of humor, albeit dry. He likes things that are calm and gentle, and can easily get overwhelmed by loud noises or crowds. He tends not to have his own favorites, instead enjoying whatever makes Eli happy most of the time. He was in chorus in high school and enjoys theater, though he never participated himself. He was on the varsity soccer and track and field teams, and was much more athletic in high school than he is now. He is not good at driving or cooking.
