it will never not amuse and amaze me that people chose monogamy because they like it more. like, I can imagine a myriad of reasons why it might not be the most practical or pragmatic option for you and your life, but at the same time there are few things in the world quite as wonderful as leaving the house to fetch sundries for my disabled lovers on a low spoons day, getting to give them a grinning 'you enjoy yourselves, I'll be back soon' as they're making out sloppy style in between requests from the shop, knowing that these people I love dearly and love eachother and we are all working to fit together in each others lives. and goddamn if it ain't also great as someone who struggles with sex drive (mandatory note; not to say that everyone who has a low/nill sex drive considers this a struggle or something to be altered, that's just My feelings about my Own sex drive) bcus like. my lovers being horny with eachother is free foreplay. getting me aroused can be a team sport on purpose or by accident. polyamory is so fucking wonderful
