Clay technique....So i don't use plaster bats to dry out clay, i use hardie backer board. You can buy it at home depot or other home improvement store. Its a thin concrete board you attach to subflooring before tiling over it. Its light, cheap and you can score and brake it into smaller pieces. The best thing about it is that it doesn't take up the space that plaster bats do.
