Oooo!!! I think I’ll talk about the most positive memory I have from a performance??
I think the whole of closing night of Mary Poppins last summer was just... the most amazing experience for me. Everything seemed to be going so smoothly, and everyone was putting so much emotion into it because it was our last show and last chance to really throw everything out there. I just remember really specifically standing outside in the lobby getting ready for my cue to run in. The overture makes me so nostalgic because every night me, our Jane and our Katie Nanna would stand outside and find gaps in the door covering and watch @scarvesandsmiles (Bert) start the show :’) I remember that night I actually got super emotional during my last scene with Mary, when she tells Michael that “you’re a fine boy Michael Banks and one day you shall make a fine man” or something to that effect. I felt like that night there was so much love in the theatre and like it was some of my strongest performing all-around! I felt like we really went out with a bang.
up til now ive been too intimidated to say this but i finally grew a spine and just wanted to let u know what a pleasure it is seeing u on my dash. u rly seem like a very kind, caring individual. with some ppl, their cordiality seems kinda fake or forced, but with u it feels genuine. i think its super sweet how u call urself the "tumblr mom" bc tbh, tumblr rly does need a funny, friendly mom sometimes. so thanks for being such a warm, lovely presence on my dash!! (ur kylux fics are also 👌👌)
I am really just blown away by how kind this is <3 It means a lot to me that A, I can bring a little happy to your dash, and B, it comes across as genuine. I know what you mean about people seeming forced sometimes, I’m glad I don’t come across that way because I really want y’all to feel comfortable talking to me.
