I think about what these streets must have looked like when that cathedral was built... it would have been the tallest structure around and held in awe by all those who passed by. Now (tho still impressively relevant) it’s dwarfed by surrounding high-rise office towers & flanked by a 25-story apartment/condo shitbox combo where the monthly rent of one its human aquariums is more than what it cost to build the whole cathedral. 😳🤯 We’re upside-down as a species.
