Practise Blog // Des Pas Sur Le Neige (Claude Debussy)
So, I've been in desperate need of some motivation to continue practising as much as I have been in my attempt to get back to being baller at piano (I used to be L.Mus level... god), so I've decided to video myself practising and share it with my followers, in lieu of being too shitty to perform just yet. Also, I miss playing old music, so there's that. I'm gonna try and do these as often as possible, in an attempt to spur myself on. Sorry in advance.
Old mate Debussy. I'm simultaneously working on software to perform my remix of this piece live, so it's been nice working on it purely acoustically. Holy shit, this piano is dodgy though. Saying that, it's the only upright on the level with a working middle pedal. So yeah, apologies for the couple of wrong notes in there, but enjoy!
Also, oh my god I'm so sorry about the camera's inbuilt mic. Our studios are shut down for upgrades at the moment, so I couldn't even sneak in and grab a decent omni.Â
Horribly over-reverbed, but still a great performance.
