Hey, Blurty! :D I have a question about travelling from one building to another at UofT St. George. What would be the fastest way to get from the Convocation Hall to the Isabel Bader Theatre? I have a class 10 minutes right after my first one at Convocation Hall, and I don't think I would make it in time!
Haha, you're not the only one. I had a path just a few metres shorter than you in my first year. I had to run from Northrop Frye to Con Hall in 10 minutes or less. Needless to say, traffic must be on your side. Cross your finger your prof lets you out early or your other prof likes to start a few minutes later than 10 after the hour. The only path you can really take (but if someone knows another path, please let me know and feel like an idiot for only taking this route all first year) is run to the triangle junction at the north end of the roundabout at University Ave just at the north tip of Queen's park. J-Walk the first part, and cross the other side onto the West side of University. Run down Hoskin to the cross walk and walk under Soldier's Tower and cut a hypotenuse across the big field (unless it's muddy, in which case, swallow your pride and walk around. That place is a muddy no man's land) and run into Con hall. If you move quickly you should be able to get there in approx 10 minutes, probably 15. In all honesty, better to be 5 minutes late to class than not to show up at all. And hopefully you'll make a friend who can tell you what you missed in the first five minutes of class that you may have missed.
